Multiple Sclerosis

Life Therapies offers Middle Tennessee's only specialized program designed to meet the unique needs of Multiple Sclerosis patients.

The Life Therapies specialized MS program provides patients with:

• An evaluation by a physical or occupational therapist including baseline testing to determine goals and develop an individual plan of care.
• Education on the MS disease process as well asstrategies to manage the condition including support groups, informational websites, and community activities such as fundraisers and exercise classes specifically designed for those with MS.
• Therapy, if appropriate, in order to increase strength and balance, increase the ease of activities of daily living, or improve cognition.
• Convenient access to other therapy services offered within Life Therapies such as Women's Health, Neuropsychology, Speech Therapy and the Bioness L300 for foot drop.
  

Newly diagnosed patients may also obtain a baseline screening at Life Therapies whether they currently have symptoms or not, to establish baseline measurements for strength, balance, gait quality, fine motor skills and cognition.
